The Market is open as usual, trading Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 8am.
This week the Federal Government announced a ban on non-essential indoor gatherings of more than 100 people. Exceptions to this ban include essential service providers such as food markets, retail stores, shopping centres and supermarkets, as well as airports, schools, public transport and health service facilities. South Melbourne Market is therefore exempt, and open for business providing our community with fresh produce, groceries, shopping and services.
- Please do not visit the Market if you are experiencing any symptoms of COVID-19, if you have been overseas in the past 14 days or if you have been directed to self-isolate.
- Please use the complimentary hand sanitiser provided, practice good hygiene and avoid ‘close contact’ with others.
For updates of Market trading and more information during this period, please see the updates posted on South Melbourne Market web noticeboard.
