Easter Bunnies

/ Updates / BY Yakedy Yak

Chocolate eggs in our market neighbours window, adorable shots of fluffy little bunnies in my feed and the smell of freshly baked hot cross buns as I pass the bakery each morning….It must be Easter soon.

For some Easter is a time of deep reflection and renewal while for others a chance to spend time with family, early morning easter egg hunts over frosty lawns and a big Sunday lunch. No matter your religious affiliation or traditions, perhaps this year could be a time when we all actively choose to focus on what we as a community have in common and to celebrate our diversity. An opportunity to listen and embrace those close to us as well as those in our community we are not so familiar with. March 17th is the annual Mosque Open Day in Victoria, Cultural Diversity Week spans 16th – 24th of March and Harmony Week runs from the 17th to the 24th so jump on in and take part in Victoria’s multicultural celebrations for 2019 in the lead up to Easter.
